Colouring-in Book

A limited run of Colour-my-Doodle colouring books are available for purchase*

  • The book features a collection of nine original doodles, ready to colour with pencil crayons, felt tip pens or markers.
  • The page behind each doodle is blank so it won't matter if markers bleed through. It also means that you can cut the page out after you've coloured it, should you want to frame or display it.
  • The centre spread is an intricate doodle that opens out into an A3 poster to colour.
  • There is only one staple in the middle of the spine, making it easy to remove the pages without damaging them.
  • The book is A4 in size (29.7cm x 21 cm) printed on thick, quality white paper.
  • I've tried many different brands of pencil crayon, and Crayola is the one that gives the best result on this paper.
  • See the gallery for samples of coloured pages from the book.

Binding a digital colouring book
Space has been left at the top of each page so that you can have them wire bound into a book (as illustrated above). Your local copy centre will offer this service but if you'd like to turn this into a crafty project, you can spiral bind the book yourself. Have a look at this YouTube tutorial to see how it's done.

Tips
  • Bind a thick piece of cardboard into the back of the book which will give you a rigid surface to press on when colouring.
  • Most paper, including copier paper, is coated and this can affect how well pencil crayons work on it.
Try colouring on the paper you intend to use for printing beforehand, to be sure you'll be able to get the result you want. I've found that Crayola pencils work really well on most stock (and no, they're not paying me to say so!) This issue doesn't affect fine tips and markers, but be aware of bleed-through.
